1700s and 1800s military for movie, tv, and film productions, in addition to
military extras casting, research, and consulting. Using extras with a cadre of
experienced men coupled with military organization, our experienced personnel
can deliver to your production accurately uniformed troops trained to perform
whatever action your script calls for, from marching to hand to hand combat,
all with the ease and convenience of one stop shopping! With Moviebrits, you no longer have all of
the headaches involved in wardrobing all those men, and then propping all those
men, and then wasted camera time because the gaggle of extras have their hats
backwards and can’t fire a musket. Asking some Vietnam vet to equip and train
George Washington’s soldiers is just a bad idea. Moviebrits has been fielding first quality
historical soldiers for years! Our
experience and discipline minimizes endless retakes, avoids embarrassing
anachronisms, and saves you money.

Trained
Manpower
We can provide men
trained in historical military arts, according to your size, age, and status
specifications. While these cost
slightly more than untrained extras, they save production money in the long run
by being able to perform complicated maneuvers and movements with minimal
preparation, and have a proven safety record.
Unlike reenactors, rank and file Moviebrits are not allowed to interrupt with “suggestions.”

Training
Services for your Manpower
We specialize in training extras and your talent in military
bearing, commanding troops, complicated
action sequences, and firearm use and safety.
We can do this because we have over
20 years’ experience in training
others to safely perform as soldiers in the American Revolution and the Civil
War. The first thing we do is establish
a Commander who coordinates with Production; our Moviebrit Serjeants execute
the Commander’s orders and manage the
troops, and our Moviebrit Privates execute the Serjeant’s orders and help the
extras. This allows Moviebrits to
execute Production’s orders in an
efficient and timely manner. We even
have our own on site Moviebrit comm net!

Historical
Consulting Services
We also provide consulting services
concerning the history of what your production is portraying, as you want it to
be as historically accurate as possible.
Unlike reenactors, only our Moviebrits Commander is allowed to present
options to Production, and then only if we are hired for this service. Moviebrits
understands the interrelationship
between visual media, historical accuracy, time, and money. We don’t care that the guy on the end is
wearing a thong, but his uniform had better pass inspection!

Administration
Services
We also provide Combined Wardrobe/Prop
Administration Services for your military, as most military units wear the same
clothes and carry the same equipment and hence the term “uniform.” Using our clothing and equipment and/or your
wardrobe/props, our Quartermaster issues each man with his own kit, so that
they appear as a disciplined military organization, not a curiously dressed
mob. Of course, when you require a mob,
we can create that too! We keep systematic records of all items turned over to
us by your Wardrobe and Props Departments,
if any, and also all items issued to each man, so that the person who
receives it is held financially responsible for it with a Stoppage Order to
accounting to deduct the cost of missing item(s) from that man’s pay.
This lowers insurance claims and minimizes replacement costs.
